Meadowset Farm is a 30-acre family farm in the heart of southeastern Chester County. We run a grass-based licensed sheep dairy with East Friesian and Lacaune milksheep following old-world cheese making practices. We craft the artisan cheeses in small badges from raw milk from our ewes starting in March – October. Cheeses are aged in a semi-subterranean cave for a minimum of 3 months up to 24 months.
The two flagship cheeses are the Last Straw and the Camel’s Back followed by the First Bite made from milk from the first spring grass and the Summer Blues, made later in the year with the creamy sweet autumn milk. Like it stinky? The Last Tango, gooey and pungent flowing off the cheese board, a cheese made at the end of the milking season.
