Stargazers Vineyard owned and operated by John and Alice Weygandt, was first planted in 1979. What started out as an avocation for the Weygandt’s turned into a full time commercial winery in 1996 and today is a thriving vineyard and winery producing only premium dry vinifera wines.
Now in the 30th leaf, the original vines have served their duty and are being replaced with new vines of improved clones and new varieties. 2008 also marks the year that the second generation to work the land, tend the vines, and continue the Stargazers legacy has been set in motion. Brian and Jennifer Dickerson will carry on the sustainable farm philosophies and traditions that John and Alice have work so hard at developing on this small farm overlooking the Brandywine Valley from its south facing slopes just north of Unionville, PA in Southern Chester County.
